What Lip Today does

Lip Today provides one generic lip-color direction for a confirmed moment. Its recommendations are aesthetic guidance, not medical, dermatological, diagnostic, or objective attractiveness advice. The app does not use a camera or face scan and does not infer race or ethnicity.

Information kept on this device

Your profile choices, selected weather area and time zone, rounded coordinate, and saved recommendation history are stored locally with SwiftData. Saved moments include the color snapshot, authored reason, applied recommendation signals, moment context, and weather snapshot used at that time. Lip Today has no app account, cloud sync, or product backend.

Approximate location and Apple services

If you grant When In Use location access, Lip Today requests area-level accuracy and rounds any coordinate to a 0.05-degree grid before storage or WeatherKit use. Precise Location is not required. You may instead search for and save a city.

Apple geocoding receives a city search query, or a rounded coordinate for an area label and time zone. Apple WeatherKit receives the rounded coordinate to provide current conditions. Apple processes those requests under its own terms and privacy practices.

Anonymous product analytics

Lip Today sends explicitly named, anonymous product-interaction and usage events to PostHog so the product team can understand flow completion and failures. Automatic capture, screen or session replay, person profiles, advertising, and tracking are disabled.

Analytics and app logs do not include coordinates, city or search query, profile answers, plans or mood, weather details, color details, recommendation identifiers, transaction identifiers, or free text.

Subscriptions

Apple StoreKit provides product information, processes purchases and restores, and reports verified entitlement status to the app. Lip Today does not send transaction identifiers or other purchase records to analytics.

Sharing

A share card is created only after you tap Share and is passed to the iOS share sheet. It contains the Lip Today brand, color swatch, generic color name, reason, and local date. It excludes location, coordinates, profile choices, subscription information, mood, and other private context.

Deletion and subscription management

Delete Profile and History in Settings permanently removes the local profile and saved moments from this device. Deleting local data does not cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through Apple’s App Store subscription settings.
